M.A.D. For Education

M.A.D. – Memory, Articulation and Discipline Curriculum

Pastor James David Manning’s M.A.D. (Memory, Articulation, and Discipline) Curriculum is an innovative educational approach designed to unlock students’ potential from kindergarten through 12th grade. This unique program focuses on developing students’ memory skills as the foundation for academic success, emphasizing that education transcends race, gender, or background.

Following the model of his hero Booker T Washington, he has founded 3 schools K-12 grade and has graduated over 500 NYC youth with many being accepted at Yale, Juilliard, Cardozo Law, New York University and many other schools and universities in New York.

Memory

Structured information in

The first step in all education is the experience and retention of information.

Teach children that their minds are wonderful instruments and to
use them properly.

We learn by experience, and our mind adapts that experience into memory. The more perfect our memory the more perfect our education.

The M.A.D. System extracts from the traditional classroom setting, but is not limited to that only. For our learning is only limited by our experiences.

M.A.D. teaches you how to develop your most powerful educational resource–memory.

Articulation

Structured information out

The ability to perfectly express information and oneself.

Thus, articulation is done in several formats. Articulation through speech and writing are the most common; however, moment-to-moment inspiration of thoughts that inspire behavior, or the direction of abilities and talents are also quite common.

When an exam is given, the examiner expects a format of information to be expressed in essay, verbal or written answer form. However, life is constantly examining our level of
knowledge, hence we are tested daily to express what we know.

Lastly, if a student of life does well in retention of “memory,” they will then be sufficiently trained, able to respond, and recall such information at exams or life experience exams.

Discipline

Performing at a respectable level in all subjects

The art of becoming the absolute best.

Discipline in our system is not punishment, but rather to bring every ounce of one’s inner strength to focus on overcoming any obstacles to learning or life.

Discipline means that each child must draw on their God-given
abilities to stay with a problem until it is overcome.

Finally, discipline says that learning for the purpose of living the most excellent life, is to be desired above all other distractions and temptations.

The God-given learning and educational tool given to Pastor James David Manning for Grades K–12.
M.A.D. teaches children how to develop their most powerful educational resource–memory. Our gift to the education process will be “teaching children to retain information, articulate it correctly in whatever format is designed, thusly earning an A every time.”
M.A.D. teaches that education has nothing to do with color, gender, etc. but rather memory.
M.A.D. helps students to learn the correct way to use their minds; enabling them to discover that their minds can retain an incredible amount of information. In fact, it can hold 650 billion volumes of information – Almighty God gave me this information. The children learn how to interact with whatever subject or environment they may find themselves in. That is, M.A.D. teaches them ways to develop this God-given ability and talent so that they will continue to grow throughout their entire lives.
M.A.D. extracts or takes from the “traditional” classroom setting, but is not limited to that forum only. For one’s learning is only limited by one’s experiences. Thusly, a large portion of our teaching does not dwell on traditional textbooks, but rather allows students to realize in every moment of their lives they’re learning; therefore, they need to make sure that they process that information accurately. Approximately, 85% of the teaching takes place in the classroom setting, but is not limited to that only. The remaining 15% happens with technology, and our unique “traveling classroom.”
M.A.D. broadens that experience by offering other venues whereby education can take place. For learning is only limited by one’s experiences. Our traveling classroom provides this additional learning tool to enhance our students’ education.
An integral part of the M.A.D. Curriculum is our traveling classroom, students are taken on a yearly trip to foreign nations to experience their culture, educational practices, and overall lifestyle. This is made available at NO COST to their families. It provides a unique opportunity for many students to see other people and cultures they would never encounter otherwise.
The Meritocracy Program is designed to showcase and enhance the student’s abilities and serve as an incentive to all students. Students are promoted to a higher grade based on their overall academic achievements. Success depends primarily on individual talents, abilities, and efforts to pursue and maintain an outstanding work ethic and performance. Students are awarded this opportunity based on their maintenance of exemplary GPAs during their tenure at our schools.
The M.A.D. Curriculum believes that EVERY student can succeed, and we encourage students to believe in themselves, follow the
principles outlined in the M.A.D. Curriculum, and they will become an outstanding success and leader.
